If you’re trying to figure out a song that’s playing on radio or a TV show that’s being shown on the screen, Shazam is a pretty awesome tool that gets the job done. Of course this usually will rely on you using your smartphone, but it seems that if you own a Samsung Smart TV, Shazam will now be integrated into the operating system.

Samsung has announced that in its latest update to its Smart TVs that they will be adding Shazam integration. According to Samsung, “Shazam grants Smart TV viewers the ability to identify songs that are playing in TV shows or films easily and quickly. With a single click, users are able to access song titles, artists, lyrics and albums while watching content, whether it’s live TV or content delivered over HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface).”

Basically this should save users some time trying to reach their phone and launch the app, especially if their phones aren’t near them. Samsung also claims that this integration will allow users to use the remote for their Smart TVs to ask Shazam to identify song, which should be an even more efficient process. The update to the Smart TVs should already be rolling out so if you own a 2017 Smart TV from Samsung, you’ll want to keep an eye out for it.
