Spotify subscribers will soon be able to listen to their favorite tunes through their Xbox console. The music streaming service is developing a new app for the Xbox One. Microsoft has confirmed that Spotify is working on the app and has provided a brief glimpse of the app during Major Nelson’s latest “this week on Xbox” roundup on YouTube.

The brief glimpse of the app that’s provided in the video shows Spotify running in the background on the Xbox One. This means that users will be able to continue streaming music through the app while they play games.

Spotify is a bit late to the Xbox One party. The streaming service launched its app for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 over two years ago.

It was only revealed recently that Spotify was working on an official Xbox One app. Microsoft is reportedly testing it now and it may be released in the near future.

If you’re curious about the Spotify app for Xbox One, you can see it in the video posted above. It’s only shown for a very brief amount of time at the 9 minute mark.

Spotify, or Microsoft for that matter, are yet to confirm when the Spotify app for Xbox One is going to be released.
