Apple unveiled its major software updates for Mac and iOS earlier this year at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017. Since then, the new software has been in beta. The company is due to release it to the public in the near future. After its event yesterday, Apple confirmed when it’s going to release the next major macOS update called macOS High Sierra.

Apple confirmed during its event yesterday when it’s going to release iOS 11. The next major update for iOS devices is going to be out across the globe on September 19th.

The company didn’t mention High Sierra during its event yesterday. However, Apple has updated its website to reflect when the new update for macOS is going to be released.

The new update for Mac OS brings a handful of new features and improvements to the platform, including a new file system that should make the device feel faster if it’s configured with an SSD.

Apple has confirmed via its website that macOS High Sierra is going to be released for all compatible Mac machines on September 25th.

Just like previous Mac OS updates, High Sierra is going to be available as a free download on all supported Mac computers. It will be distributed through the Mac App Store.
