Monitoring your heart rate is something that a lot of wearables offer their users these days. However if features like continuous heart rate monitoring is something that you’re after, then you might be interested to learn that Samsung has recently issued an update for its Gear Fit 2 wearable that brings about the feature.

In addition to the continuous heart rate monitoring, Samsung will also be introducing a Heart Rate Zone tool which basically tells you how hard your heart is working. The tool will be split into 5 different zones, with each zone representing varying levels of intensity, ranging from very light up to to maximum.

If you’re training and want to know whether or not you are pushing yourself to the limit, or if you’re aiming for a specific zone, then this tool will come in handy. However it should be noted that this update has only been released in Indonesia so far, but we expect that once the roll out has begun it should eventually find its way to other parts of the world.

If you own the Gear Fit 2 then this is something to look out for, or if you’re looking for a fitness tracker, then perhaps this update could make the Gear Fit 2 worth your consideration.
