There are countless reports and rumors about the upcoming Pixel handsets that Google is going to unveil next month. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are going to be the successors to Google’s first-ever Pixel smartphones that were released last year. However, if a new report is to be believed, there might be something entirely new in the pipeline over at Google. Something we haven’t heard about so far.

Arun Maini runs the Mrwhosetheboss channel on YouTube. He claims to have received images and videos from an anonymous source of slides which indicate that Google has another device in the pipeline possibly called “Ultra pixel.” For all we know, it just might be a new moniker for one of the two upcoming Pixel devices.

The source seems to have captured these images from a slide presentation that someone was working on in a Google office. We can see the main slide while a second slide mentions that “The future of Android is Fluid.”

No further information is available at this point in time so it’s unclear what sort of specifications this handset touts and how it will be positioned in Google’s updated Pixel handset lineup.

There are some references to a dual camera system and a new kind of fingerprint sensor but that’s about it. Is it possible that the device has a fingerprint sensor underneath the display? There has been a lot of talk about this technology but it can’t be said for sure right now since all of this could very well be an elaborate fake.

Google has an event lined up for October 4th where it’s going to unveil the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Whether or not it will talk about this device at its event remains to be seen.
