iOS 11 was released not too long ago, but as is the case with most new software releases, there are bound to be teething issues. One of those issues, which seems to be particularly annoying, is how some users are claiming that the update has slowed down their apps, and there are also reports of excessive battery drain.

However the good news is that Apple has the solution to those problems (we hope). The company has recently released the iOS 11.0.1 update which is supposed to bring about various bug fixes and performance improvements to the platform. We’re not sure if this update will address all the problems that users have encountered, but hopefully those who are finding their apps are slower or experiencing battery drain will find those issues rectified.

Apple did not state what was fixed so we have no idea if the update has addressed all the issues, but like we said hopefully it has, or at the very least we guess some problems have been addressed. In the meantime the adoption of iOS 11 appears to be slower than its predecessors, with a reported adoption of 10% in the first 24 hours, which is pretty fast for a mobile platform update, is pretty slow when you consider older iOS releases.
