When Apple announced the iPhone X, they also revealed that unlike the iPhone 8 that is expected to be released this month, the iPhone X would instead be released in November. This is in line with earlier reports that suggested that the iPhone X could be facing some production issues, and a new report from Barron’s has seemingly confirmed it.

According to Raymond James’s chip analyst Chris Caso, “While our checks are ongoing, initial feedback from our meetings suggests that final production of iPhone X has not yet begun, with production expected to commence in mid-October. That production start is about a month later when compared to expectations a month ago, and about 2 months later than expectations at the end of June.”

Caso’s report is similar to what we have been hearing recently, which is that mass production of the iPhone X could only begin in October or November. As to the reason behind the delay, it is said that the complexity of the iPhone X could be the main reason why, like with the display in which Samsung has to change their manufacturing process just for Apple.

We’ve also heard from other analysts that the iPhone X could still be facing some supply issues well into 2018, so if you are thinking about getting the phone, then maybe you’ll want to pull the trigger ASAP or risk waiting a long time for your order to arrive.
