If you own a Motorola handset and are wondering about which device you own that might have Android 8.0 Oreo availability, you might want to check out Motorola’s latest announcement. The company has recently posted on its blog a list of devices that they say will be eligible for the Android Oreo update.

According to Motorola, “Sweet just got even sweeter with the new Android OS update that gives you faster speeds, longer battery life, split-screen capabilities, smart text selection, improved notifications, autofill framework for your trickiest of passwords, and of course, the all new Google Play Protect, helping to ensure none of your apps become compromised.”

The devices in question that are eligible for the update include the Moto Z, Z Droid, Z Force Droid, Z Play, Z Play Droid, Z2 Play, Z2 Force Edition, Moto X4, Moto G5, G5 Plus, G5S, and the G5S Plus. However exactly when the update will be rolled out to these devices is unclear as Motorola has simply stated that they will be available this coming fall, so we guess we’ll just have to wait.

However we expect that the release times will also vary from carrier to carrier and also from country to country, but basically these are the devices that will receive the update, so it’s really only a question of when.
