Arnold Schwarzenegger has starred in many movies but Terminator will likely be considered his most iconic role. Years after leaving the franchise, it has been confirmed that he will be returning as the robot from the future. That’s not all. It has also been confirmed that Linda Hamilton is returning to the Terminator franchise after bidding farewell more than 25 years ago.

James Cameron is producing the new Terminator movie. It’s the first time he’s been involved in a Terminator movie since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Tim Miller of Deadpool fame will be in the director’s chair for this one.

Cameron confirmed at a private event that Linda Hamilton is returning to the Terminator franchise. She will be starring in the sixth movie. The movie itself is based on a story created by Cameron.

The original creative team is back for the sixth iteration in the Terminator franchise and fans will certainly be excited to see what they will come up with. No major details about the story have been revealed as yet but Cameron and Miller are reportedly treating it as a direct sequel to Cameron’s Judgment Day.

“We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we’ll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it,” Cameron said.

So Schwarzenegger’s back as the Terminator then. Well, he did say he’ll be back.
