Just last month Microsoft announced that fans of the Xbox console could pre-order the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition, which is basically the Xbox One X that came with a tiny green Scorpio logo on it. If you missed out on that, not to worry because Microsoft has since announced that the standard Xbox One X is now available for pre-order.

For those unfamiliar, the Xbox One X is Microsoft’s latest console. The console was actually announced last year where it was known as Project Scorpio, but it was only earlier this year that it was unveiled in full. The console will be Microsoft’s most powerful Xbox console to date and one of its key features is the ability to play games in native 4K.

The console is priced at $500 which is admittedly rather pricey, and given that Microsoft had to cut the prices on the Xbox One after it was launched to help boost sales, many are wondering if the $500 price tag might be too dear, however if the Scorpio Edition console’s pre-orders are any indication, it seems that gamers aren’t too fazed by it.

Microsoft is boasting that there are more than 130 new and existing games that have been optimized for the Xbox One X system, and we expect that number will grow over time, but for now gamers will have quite a few games to pick from. The Xbox One X is expected to begin shipping to customers on the 7th of November.
