Google released Android 8.0 Oreo a few months back but there aren’t a lot of devices out there right now that are running the latest iteration of Android. Google did mention some OEMs that would release the update in the coming months when it announced Oreo’s release, however, no information was provided about the actual release dates. That’s up to the OEMs and it seems that HTC will be rolling out the Oreo update for the U11 next month.

It was reported recently that the HTC U11 Android 8.0 Oreo update release will take place before 2018. The latest suggests that it’s actually going to be rolled out in November. Still, there’s no concrete date to mark in your calendars if you’re waiting for this update to arrive.

HTC leaker LlabTooFeR reports that the HTC U11 Android 8.0 Oreo update is now reaching the final stages of development. It’s also mentioned that the update will arrive in November. Whether or not it slips into early December remains to be seen.

The HTC U11 is going to be the company’s first smartphone to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update. Those who own this handset will certainly be waiting to get their hands on Oreo, looks like they won’t have to wait for it too long now.
