It has been known for a while now that Netflix has been working with Marvel on a Punisher series. The online streaming giant today confirmed when it’s going to release the very first season of this new series for subscribers on its network. Frank Castle, the vigilante antihero from the Marvel universe, is soon going to grace your screens courtesy of Netflix.

Netflix has released a new trailer today for its Punisher series. It goes into background about Frank Castle’s origins so you should definitely check out the trailer if you plan on watching this series when it comes out. Actor Jon Bernthal will be playing the lead in this series, Frank Castle.

The Punisher character was first introduced in season two of Netflix’s Daredevil and Netflix greenlit the standalone show shortly after that. The show itself feels quite different from the narratives that we’ve already see in the rest of Netflix’s semi-originals with Marvel which include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and more.

Netflix today confirmed that all 13 episodes of the Punisher series will be available to subscribers starting November 17th. Interestingly, that’s also the day when DC’s Justice League hits the big screen, just an interesting nugget of information.
