From what we can tell based on Nintendo’s latest earnings, the Switch console is doing quite well having sold more than 7 million units worldwide since its release in March earlier this year. For the most part a lot of the games released on the console have been well-received, but apparently that’s not all the company has up their sleeves.

In a tweet by The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, he quotes Nintendo’s CEO as saying that next year, there will be “more ways to have fun” with the console. It is a rather vague thing to say, and we guess it is also goes without saying that Nintendo definitely has more things planned for the Switch for the foreseeable future.

However some of the comments left on Mochizuki’s Twitter have suggested that maybe Nintendo’s CEO could be referencing non-video game ways of having fun, such as the ability to stream/watch videos online through platforms like Netflix. Nintendo has never denied the possibility that Netflix could arrive on the Switch.

Earlier this year the company said that such offerings will eventually come “in time”. However just last month it was rumored that Netflix’s app for the Switch was ready to go and is simply awaiting for Nintendo’s approval, but assuming that’s what’s Nintendo’s CEO was hinting at, we might have to wait until next year.
