The problem with a lot of our smartphones these days would be battery life, where sometimes getting an entire day of usage can feel like achieving a miracle. However if a phone with a long battery life is something you’re after, not to worry as the folks at HMD Global have recently taken the wraps off their latest Nokia handset, the Nokia 2.

The Nokia 2 is a phone that we’ve been hearing about for a while now and by no means is it considered a flagship. However one of the key points of the Nokia 2 is its battery which is of the 4,100mAh variety, which according to HMD is expected to give users a battery life of up to 2 days, although as with all battery estimates, your mileage may vary depending on your usage patterns.

As for the rest of the specs, the Nokia 2 will come with a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset. There is also an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard memory that can be expanded via microSD, and will come with Android Nougat preinstalled.

However as per HMD’s earlier promise, all of the company’s Nokia-branded smartphones released will eventually be upgraded to Android Oreo, although when exactly that will take place remains unclear. The Nokia 2 is currently set for a release for mid-November where it will be priced at €99.
