There have been rumors about a new Nokia flagship handset. HMD Global is reportedly developing a new device which will be launched as the Nokia 9. Details are slim at this point in time but a new leak brings us a purported render of the handset. The leaked render suggests that the Nokia 9 is going to have a display panel that’s curved on both the edges.

If the rumors are to be believed, the Nokia 9 is going to have an edge-to-edge display with a bezel-less design. That has been the trend this year for flagship smartphones and it’s certainly catching on with most manufacturers.

It’s also said to feature a glass back which will be required for enabling wireless charging. As far as the specifications are concerned, rumor has it that the Nokia 9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

It may also feature an iris scanner, IP68 water and dust resistance, and possibly even a dual-lens Zeiss camera. HMD Global is yet to confirm anything about the Nokia 9 so don’t feel like this is set in stone.

The information comes from unofficial sources so we can’t believe everything we read about the Nokia 9 until there’s more clarity about the new handset from HMD Global. Who knows when the company is going to talk about its plans for a new flagship smartphone.
