Recently it was reported that the OnePlus 5 had gone out of stock, leading to speculation that OnePlus could be getting ready its successor, which based on last year’s launch of the OnePlus 3T has led to some speculating that it could be the OnePlus 5T. Now thanks to a report from Gizmochina, an alleged render of the OnePlus 5T has surfaced.

According to the leak, the OnePlus 5T will apparently feature curved displays on both sides of the phone similar to what Samsung is doing with its current lineup. It is also said to feature an 18:9 display aspect ratio, making it taller than it is wide. As for specs, we can’t say for sure what to expect, but presumably the latest chipset from Qualcomm will find its way into the phone, and maybe even a dual camera setup.

We should point out that in the earlier report, it was rumored that OnePlus could skip the OnePlus 5T in favor of the OnePlus 6, which is apparently aiming for an early 2018 release. However the report from Gizmochina seems to suggest that the OnePlus 5T could still very much be in play, with them claiming to be 80% sure that this information is accurate, but since OnePlus has yet to say anything officially, take it with a grain of salt for now.

It is possible that the phone in question could be the OnePlus 6, but we won’t know until it has been officially confirmed or denied.
