One of the methods that we’re seeing developers use to keep their gamers interested is by celebrating certain events, like holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, New Year, and so on. In fact if you’re looking for a reason to come back to Pokemon GO, then you might be interested to learn that a Halloween event has been confirmed for the game.

Announced by The Pokemon Company, it looks like a Halloween event will be returning to Pokemon GO this year. “The Halloween season is a special time in Pokémon GO. Plenty of good stuff is coming to the game later this October, and we can’t wait to get out and about to see what sort of excitement we can scare up while catching new Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex.”

Note that this isn’t the first time that Pokemon GO has celebrated a Halloween event. Last year’s Halloween event was actually the first in-game event that the game celebrated, so as you can imagine the holiday does hold some significance. Unfortunately details about what gamers can expect from the event are unclear, but it is expected that Niantic might want to take advantage of some of the game’s recently-launched features, such as battle raids and Legendary Pokemon.

Either way the details should be revealed in the near future, which assuming is similar to last year means it will be announced a few days before the event actually begins.
