Razer has launched a new model of its ultraportable 12 inch Blade Stealth notebook which will provide a bit more processing power than the existing models. It still doesn’t have enough processing power on its own to function as a proper gaming machine, a Core enclosure will still be required, but it’s going to make a lot of difference when multitasking with heavy apps on the notebook.

As opposed to the 7th generation dualcore processor, the Razer Blade Stealth can now be purchased with an 8th Generation Core i7 processor, it’s the 1.8GHz i7-8550U.

The chip upgrade is going to bring about a slight improvement in battery life as well, users should expect to get an extra hour which will push the estimated battery life to ten hours per day.

Customers in the United States can purchase this model of the Blade Stealth starting today for $1,699. It also features 16GB of RAM, a 512GB solid state drive, and a 3,200 x 1,800 pixel resolution display.

Razer has also launched the Core V2 today which now features dual Thunderbolt 3 controllers and can house a wider array of graphics cards, even the GeForce 10 series and Radeon 500 series cards are supported.

Razer has priced the updated Core at $499 and it’s going to start shipping soon for customers in the United States.
