Samsung normally launches its new Galaxy A handsets early on in the new year and it’s expected to do that in 2018 as well. There have already been some rumors and reports about the Galaxy A (2018) lineup and today purported renders of two upcoming models have been leaked online. They provide us with a glimpse of the design of Samsung’s premium mid-range handsets.

The Galaxy A5 (2018) and Galaxy A7 (2018) build upon earlier rumors that Samsung’s new premium mid-range feature is going to feature an Infinity Display. That’s Samsung’s marketing term for a bezel-less display.

The Galaxy A5 (2018) is reportedly going to feature a 5.5 inch full HD display while the Galaxy A7 (2018) is said to feature a 6 inch display. Both handsets will have a metal and glass build as well as dual front cameras.

Previous reports have suggested that Bixby will be onboard as well but a dedicated Bixby key can’t be seen in these renders. So either these renders don’t show the full picture or Samsung isn’t going to bring the full Bixby experience to devices other than its flagships just yet. My money is on the former.

Features that were introduced with existing A series handsets such as water and dust resistance, fingerprint sensor, Samsung Pay, USB Type-C port, Always On Display and more will be included as well.

Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy A (2018) handsets early next year. We will likely see more reports and leaks before then.
