Recent reports have suggested that Samsung is building its very own Windows Mixed Reality headset. We’ve already seen similar products that the likes of Acer, Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, and others have been working on. It’s not surprising to see Samsung jumping on the bandwagon as well. Some new information about the Samsung Odyssey Mixed Reality headset has surfaced online today.

The information actually comes from Microsoft’s own website. A listing for this mixed reality headset was briefly up on Microsoft’s website. It revealed that the headset touts a resolution of 1,440 x 1,600 per eye and an OLED panel.

This should mean that Samsung’s headset is going to offer better contrast compared to many of the other Windows Mixed Reality headsets that generally feature LCD panels.

The listing also mentions that the Odyssey has up to 110 degrees of field of view. Other than that, the leaked renders showed that the headset will have integrated headphones. The listing mentions AKG-tuned integrated headphones as well.

Samsung is yet to confirm when this product is going to be announced but chances are that we might hear about it later today at Microsoft Mixed Reality event. If the listing is anything to go by, Samsung’s Odyssey Mixed Reality headset will cost $500 and will be released on November 6th.
