It’s customary for handsets to make a stop at the Federal Communications Commission for certification purposes before they’re released. When they’re spotted at the FCC, it’s normally taken as an indication of an impending release. The ZTE Axon M is reportedly the first foldable smartphone from the China-based company. It’s expected to launch it with AT&T later this month.

The ZTE Axon M has now been spotted at the FCC which means that it’s probably one step closer to being launched. From what the reports have revealed so far, ZTE’s foldable smartphone features two touchscreens that can be folded out into a 6.8 inch 2160×1920 pixel resolution vieiwng surface.

When folded, it’s going to have a 1080p resolution each display on the front and back. A foldable smartphone will really allow for some interesting use case scenarios and it remains to be seen what sort of software features ZTE will offer to enable users to get the most out of a smartphone with two full HD displays.

The FCC listing for this handset mentions that it’s running Android 7.1.2 Nougat so it may not launch with Oreo. According to reports, the ZTE Axon M might be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAMand 32GB of storage.

It may also feature a 20 megapixel rear camera and a 3,120mAh. ZTE is expected to launch its foldable smartphone with AT&T on October 17th. It may be priced at $650.
