These days there seems to be a bit of debate as to whether or not gamers should pre-order games. There are some who argue that this allows developers to get away with buggy releases, versus developers having to make sure that they’ve got a good solid game that will attract customers.

That’s where free trials come in, where gamers get to try before they buy. Now last week it was rumored that Destiny 2 could be getting a free trial mode, and sure enough it looks like the speculations have come true. Starting from the 28th of November, players who are interested in trying out Destiny 2 before dropping cash on the game will be able to do so for free.

The free trial will include two of the game’s destinations: the European Dead Zone mon Earth and the moon Titan. Players will also be able to visit the Farm social space, and also gain access to campaign missions and adventures. There will of course be limitations imposed, such as only being able to hit a level cap of 7, but naturally this progress won’t be wasted as players can carry it forwards once they purchase the game in full.

The trial will be available to gamers on the Xbox One, PS4, and Windows via Battle.net, so do keep an eye out for it if Destiny 2 is a game you’ve been eyeing.
