Beamdog is a company some of you guys might be familiar with as the developer behind titles like Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. If you’re looking forward to seeing more classic RPGs remade, you’ll be pleased to learn that Beamdog’s next game will be Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition.

Just like the Baldur’s Gate franchise, the Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights will basically feature improved graphics. It will also feature an improved display where things like character portraits, combat bar, inventory, and other UI elements can be upscaled to Full HD or 4K, depending on your resolution.

It will also feature backwards compatibility, meaning that if you still have your old Neverwinter Nights save files lying around, you’ll be able to more or less pick up where you left of. Unfortunately there was no mention as to whether we can expect additional content like we’ve seen from the Enhanced Editions of Baldur’s Gate.

That being said, Beamdog has announced that they will share more details via a Twitch livestream starting at 12PM PST on the 21st of November, so perhaps we’ll have more details then. In the meantime if you’re interested in getting a sneak peek at what’s to come, check out the teaser trailer in the video above.
