When Flash was relatively new, it was an incredibly popular tool amongst web developers who would create games and websites based on it. In fact it seems that Nintendo had at one point in time dabbled in creating Flash games as well as a way of promoting upcoming releases, where they would release mini games in Flash as a way to promote upcoming titles.

We’re not sure how many of you guys actually remember playing them, but if you don’t or if you’re learning about this for the first time and felt like you might have missed the boat, fret not because you haven’t. This is thanks to modder Skelux who has been busy collecting all of Nintendo’s old Flash games and publishing them on his website.

It seems that this has been a rather painstaking process as Skelux had to retrieve the games piecemeal, using Wayback Machine to go through the Internet Archive for the missing files and then compiling them into a working copy of the game. According to his website, some of the games are complete while others are missing files in order to complete them.

If you are interested in helping rebuild these lost Nintendo Flash games, Skelux is offering a $50 bounty for anyone who can provide the necessary files to complete them. Granted Flash is no longer as popular as it once was, and with all the problems it has been facing, many browsers have stopped enabling it by default. However if you want to relive some good old days of the early internet, then Skelux’s website could be worth enabling Flash for.
