Nintendo has been making proper mobile games for the past couple of years. Its third title, called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, was due to be released this month. Nintendo had previously said that it would release this title for smartphones in November. The company has followed through and it confirmed earlier today when this title is going to be released.

This is the third proper mobile game from Nintendo. The titles it has released previously include Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes.

The Animal Crossing series is already very popular on Nintendo’s dedicated gaming hardware so it’s expected that this title is going to perform well on mobile devices as well.

The new title adds a camping twist to Nintendo’s popular and addictive city life simulator. It certainly has the potential to become its most popular mobile game so far.

The title was actually released in Australia previously as part of a soft launch. Nintendo has confirmed today that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is going to be released globally for iOS and Android on November 22nd.

The game itself is free to play. There are Leaf Tickets which are used to buy in-game items. Players can earn them by grinding or just paying real cash. Yes, it has microtransactions, but it’s not like this wasn’t expected.
