If there is one thing that Blizzard is pretty well-known for, in addition to their high-quality games, it would be their high-quality cinematics and storytelling. Now you might have noticed that it has been a while since Blizzard released a new animated short for Overwatch, which they promised would be resuming later this year, and it looks like the company has delivered.

At the developer’s annual gaming event BlizzCon, the company has taken the wraps off their latest animated short for Overwatch in the form of “Honor and Glory”, which will be an animated short based on the character Reinhardt, which many Overwatch gamers are probably familiar with as Reinhardt is a huge character in a suit of armor that would be pretty hard to miss.

The animated short basically explores the origin story of the character, and if you’re someone who loves lore and likes to know more about a game’s universe, then this animated short should do the trick. Blizzard has relied on various storytelling techniques for Overwatch so far, with animated shorts being one of them, along with comics.

So far these animated shorts have been extremely well-received and from what we can tell, the latest release will be no exception.
