Sling TV, a dominant player in the standalone TV streaming market, today announced that its integration with Samsung makes it the most widely available live streaming service. The company says that it’s the first live and on-demand standalone streaming service to be available on select Samsung smart TVs. This enables Sling to expand its device compatibility. It already supports a diverse range of devices, including but not limited to smartphones, computers, game consoles, streaming devices, and more.

The Sling TV integration creates a seamless experience for Samsung customers as they can now access the streaming service without requiring any additional dongles, remotes, and inputs.

As viewers continue to embrace streaming live TV via apps, Sling TV is an obvious win for those who want to truly personalize their entertainment experience for the best value,” said Salek Brodsky, the vice president of content and services for Samsung Electronics.

Sling TV can now be accessed on all Samsung smart TVs from 2016. It has also confirmed that the app will be rolled out to additional models in the future.

Existing Sling TV subscribers can easily log into their accounts via their Internet-connected and compatible Samsung smart TVs. The app will allow new subscribers to sign up directly with the app on their TV.
