Can’t get enough Star Wars? The good news is that next month, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in cinemas, and what’s even more good news is that the movie will be the longest film in the Star Wars franchise to date, coming in at 150 minutes including the credits. This is versus the second longest Star Wars movie, Revenge of the Sith, which is 140 minutes.

As for Star Wars: The Force Awakens which is the predecessor to The Last Jedi, that came in at 124 minutes, meaning that moviegoers will be able to enjoy almost a good 30 minutes more content than previously. No doubt that this is great news for fans who will have to wait two more years after this one to conclude the current trilogy.

However the good news is that next year we are expected to be given the Han Solo standalone movie, and let’s not forget Disney’s recent announcement that a live-action Star Wars TV series is in the works. Disney has also announced that they will be launching a new trilogy of Star Wars films which will be helmed by Rian Johnson, the director for The Last Jedi.

This means that we can expect a ton of Star Wars-related content for years to come. In the meantime Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on the 15th of December in the US.
