While the Nintendo Switch has been designed to play as a modern console and to play modern games, let’s face it, it’s fun to revisit old classics that we used to play growing up, which is why titles like Super Mario Bros. is still pretty popular even until today. Now if you remember, there used to be a classic arcade version called VS. Super Mario Bros.

If you do remember it, then you might be pleased to learn that according to Nintendo Life, it looks like the game could soon find its way onto the Nintendo Switch. This was discovered in a printed Holiday booklet in Japan, in which it seems to have listed VS. Super Mario Bros. as one of the games that will be arriving for the Switch.

The listing even has a release date for the 22nd of December, although to be fair we’re not sure if that date is only for the Japanese market or if it could be a worldwide release date, but then again the Switch is capable of playing games from other regions, so worst comes to worse you’ll just have to download it from the Japan eShop.

The game is being produced by HAMSTER who has produced other classics in the past, but if you did enjoy this particular version of Mario, then do keep an eye out for its release.
