If you grew up playing video games on the PC, there’s a good chance you might have heard of a franchise by Team17 called “Worms”. Basically this is a turn-based game in which you control a bunch of worms, with the goal being that you have to destroy the other team of worms by firing weapons at them.

Individual worms are placed around a landscape, so the skill involved is being able to determine the angle to fire your weapons at to ensure they land, and also the type of weapons to use for the most effective attacks. The good news is that all that fun will soon be arriving on the Nintendo Switch. To be more specific, Team17 has confirmed that Worms WMD will be launching on the Switch on the 23rd of November, 2017 which is next week.

The developers initially teased the release of the game a couple of months ago, but now we have a definitive date to look forward to. Note that Worms WMD isn’t a new game and was actually released last year where it was released on multiple platforms, but now it looks like it will be headed for the Switch.

The game will be priced at $29.99 and if you’re thinking of getting the digital download, it will come in at 4.6GB and will also take advantage of the console’s HD Rumble feature. In the meantime you can check out the announcement trailer above if you want to get an idea of what to expect.
