Amazon seems to have some kind of on-again, off-again relationship with some of the big tech companies out there, such as Google and Apple. As you might have heard, previously Amazon decided to stop selling the Google Chromecast and the Apple TV, but now it looks like Amazon has decided to start selling them again.

In a statement provided to CNET who first broke the news, an Amazon spokeswoman was quoted as saying, “I can confirm that we are assorting Apple TV and Chromecast,” but unfortunately did not elaborate any further. While the Chromecast and Apple TV are available via other retailers, being listed on Amazon is no doubt a big deal for both companies as it increases its accessibility.

Plus there are customers who might prefer shopping on Amazon, whether it be because they just prefer the platform, or have credit that they’d like to use, and so on. Note that neither gadget is available for purchase just yet, but based on Amazon’s statement it shouldn’t be too long before they will be available for purchase, and hopefully before the holidays too.

That being said, we wonder if Amazon is hoping for a little quid pro quo from Google, as the latter company has recently pulled support for YouTube on the Amazon Echo Show and Fire TV, so hopefully the relisting of the Chromecast could get Google to change their minds.
