The iPhone X’s Face ID Is The Feature Consumers Like The Most

Apple made waves when they announced that the iPhone X would not feature a fingerprint scanner, but would instead feature facial recognition in the form of Face ID. Understandably many were skeptical, but save for a few instances which one could chalk up to it being a new feature, Face ID certainly did work as promised.

In fact it seems that Face ID and the TrueDepth camera system are some of the features that consumers like the most, according to a recent study conducted by Strategy Analytics (via BGR). According to the report, “Apple’s upgraded front-facing TrueDepth camera has allowed new security and augmented reality features through Face ID and Animojis, respectively. In particular, Consumer sentiment surrounding Face ID is extremely positive.”

To a certain extent the report is true as we’ve started to see more developers take advantage of the feature, whether it being to make games or to recommend spectacle frames. We can only imagine that as time moves on, Apple will make further improvements to the feature to help iron out the kinks.

We’ve also heard that Apple has plans to potentially bring it onto the iPad, but whether or not that is true remains to be seen. In any case do you guys agree with the report, and that Face ID is one of the iPhone X’s best features?
