The Samsung Galaxy S9 is the next flagship of Samsung’s that many are looking forward to, especially following the release of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and the X, many are probably wondering what Samsung could have up their sleeves that could potentially upstage Apple’s new iPhones.

So far the rumor mill has been churning out bits and pieces, and the latest comes from SamMobile in which the potential color options for the upcoming phone have been revealed. According to their sources, Samsung is said to offer the Galaxy S9 in black, blue, gold, and even a purple finish, which will be a new color option as far as the Galaxy S series of phones are concerned.

Their sources claim that this purple finish will be a dark shade of purple, as opposed to being similar to the shiny Coral Blue option. As for the other finishes, those appear to be pretty standard. The finishes are also not expected to be country-exclusive, so regardless of market they should all be available.

So far we have heard rumors that Samsung has already begun testing Android Oreo for the Galaxy S9, and that it could possibly still retain the fingerprint sensor. We have also heard that it could be launched as early as next month, although whether or not that happens remains to be seen. Regardless, take it with a grain of salt for now but we should have more details in the near future.
