Managing the files on our computers is relatively easy, but on our phones it’s a little different due to the difference in design of the OS and the way we interact with our devices, which is why file manager apps can come in handy. Last month Google announced Files Go, a file manager app for Android, and the good news is that the app is now available for download.
In an announcement by Google on its blog, they have announced that Files Go is now available to all users on Android. Prior to that, Google released the app in beta mode which meant that it wasn’t available to all users, plus there are probably some users out there who might not be so keen to beta test software.
Files Go, for those unfamiliar, isn’t just a files manager app. The app will help users manage their files, but it will also help them to free up space in which the app can make personalized suggestions as to what users can delete to free up space, like duplicates, unused apps, and so on.
It can also help users to backup their files to the cloud using services like Google Drive, and it can also allow users to transfer files to another user in person without it consuming mobile data. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
