Given how big the Star Wars franchise is, it really isn’t surprising to see that many would want to take advantage of it to help market their goods and services. For example OnePlus unveiled a OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition phone, and apparently Samsung has a Star Wars Galaxy Note 8 in the pipeline as well.

Unsurprisingly it seems that Motorola wants in on it too, and the good news is that it will be cheaper than the other options out there. It appears that over in China, Motorola has taken the wraps off a limited edition Star Wars Moto Mod. However this is merely a back cover for the Moto Z series of smartphones, so it doesn’t really do anything.

However like we said, the upside here is that it is cheaper than buying a new phone at around $19.50. The only bad news is that for now it seems that the launch is limited to China, but given that we saw OnePlus expand the Star Wars OnePlus 5T to other countries, it is possible that these Moto Mods could eventually find their way stateside.

The availability of these Moto Mods are set to launch in a couple of weeks, presumably in time for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie.
