Much to the joy of many, Netflix has confirmed that Stranger Things will be renewed for a third season. However the company did not mention when that third season will arrive, but a recent interview actor David Harbour did with Variety has indicated that the third season will most likely be released in 2019.

Harbour doesn’t confirm the release per se, but it’s based on his opinion considering that the script is still being written, indicating that it will be a while before it even enters into production. “I mean, one of the things that’s annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them. Like, you probably won’t get [Season 3] until sometime in 2019. But also part of the thing is, like any good thing, they need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.”

We guess that makes sense, and to be fair Netflix does have a lot on its plate for 2018, with various shows expected to return for new seasons, like their Marvel TV-series, along with the final season of House of Cards sans Kevin Spacey. In the meantime for those who can’t wait that long, reviews of Netflix’s German-based TV series “Dark” has been rather positive, with some comparing it to Stranger Things, so perhaps that could be worth a gander.
