Microsoft was selling cheap Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions on Black Friday. If you were unable to take advantage of those deals, you might want to pay attention. Microsoft has reduced the price of both subscribers down to $1 for a limited time. As is the case with most promotional offers, there’s a catch.

This promotional pricing is only being offered to new subscribers. Those who already subscribe to Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass can’t take advantage of this promotion. All new subscribers can get an Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscription for just $1 each.

This promotional pricing will be valid for the first month only after which they will have to pay the normal subscription fee like everyone else. This promotion is valid until January 5th, 2018. If you’re a new subscriber then be sure to take advantage of these prices before then because the prices will go back to $9.99 per month after that.

This discount is a good way for Microsoft to get those who have been curious about these services to try them out without making them pay full price for it.

Starting tomorrow, Microsoft will offer a plethora of deals on media, apps, and PCs as part of its Countdown to 2018 sale. Be sure to check out its online store if you’re interested in scoring a good deal.
