For those of you who own like a Google Cardboard or a Daydream View VR headset, then chances are you might be familiar with YouTube VR which basically lets you enjoy YouTube in virtual reality (VR). The good news is that if you own a different VR headset like the HTC Vive, then you’ll be pleased to learn that YouTube VR is now available for it as well.

Google has recently released YouTube VR on Steam, which means that PC users who own the HTC Vive will now be able to access the app. According to the description, “YouTube VR reimagines YouTube as a 3D world you can explore. Experience every channel, video and creator in virtual reality. Swim alongside great white sharks, explore all seven continents with your own personal tour guide, get front row seats at your favorite concerts and more. Be at the center of the action with both 3D 360 and VR180 videos as well as standard rectangular settings.”

However it should be noted that YouTube VR for Steam is in Early Access, which is basically like a beta of sorts. As expected there are quite a few bugs with the Early Access version as there are quite a few users complaining about how it doesn’t work for them. It is rather unfortunate and your mileage may vary, so if you are interested you can download the app from Steam and check it out, maybe you’ll have better luck than others in getting it to work.
