Netflix created an original series based on Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and the online video streaming giant has now confirmed when the second season of this series is going to be released. It has also released a new trailer for the second season which teases the next batch of episodes. The teaser stars the very menacing Count Olaf played by Neil Patrick Harris.

The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot of the second season but there might be some hints in there for fans of the books. Reports reveal that some big guest stars will be making an appearance in the upcoming season. These include Nathan Fillion and Tony Hale.

The bestselling series of books recounts the story of the Baudelaire orphans. Their evil uncle, Count Olaf, goes out of his way to ensure that their inheritance ends up in his hands. What follows is a tale of tragedy and perseverance.

The second season of this show is going to cover books five through nine. While Netflix hasn’t confirmed if there’s going to be a third season, it would presumably cover the remaining four books. All episodes from the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events will be released on Netflix come March 30th, 2018.
