[CES 2018] Acer unveiled its Acer Predator Orion 9000 gaming series platform at the IFA 2017 convention in September last year. These are series gaming rigs meant for professional gamers. The company has now confirmed when the Predator Orion 9000 series is going to be released in the United States. The rigs feature liquid cooling and Acers IceTunnel 2.0 to keep temperatures down during those long gaming sessions.

IceTunnel 2.0 is Acer’s advanced airflow management solution which partitions the system into multiple thermal zones of individual airflow tunnels to expel heat. There are large mesh panels on the front and top to allow more cold air in and the rising hot air out.

Customers can configure the Acer Predator Orion 9000 series rigs with up to Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition 18 core processor, up to 128GB DDR4 memory and dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti cards in SLI.

There’s a massive side window panel on the case which showcases the interior while the design keeps electromagnetic interference levels in check. Component upgrades can be done easily with the tool-less side panels and the push-open top.

Connectivity options include two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, eight USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, and two USB 2.0 ports. There are two M.2 slots and up to four PCIe x16 slots.

Acer Predator Orion 9000 series is going to be available in the United States come February 2018. Prices start at $1,999.
