[CES 2018] Dell has introduced its new Latitude 2-in-1 notebooks at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018. The new models are designed to blend advanced security features with portability and mobility. The result is what Dell calls the “world’s most secure detachable 2-in-1,” and the “world’s most secure convertible 2-in-1.”

The Dell Latitude 5290 is the aforementioned secure detachable. It weighs less than 2 lbs and measures in at 11.5 x 0.38 x 8.22 inches. It features a 12.3 inch 1920×1280 pixel resolution Gorilla Glass 4 touchscreen display. Dell promises up to 12 hours of battery life.

Configuration options include up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors with 16GB RAM and Intel UHD Graphics 620. It has been designed for on-the-go professionals that want their machine to strike a balance between mobility and productivity. It comes with an auto-deploy kickstand.

The Dell Latitude 5290 is available for purchase from today with prices starting at $899. It comes with a plethora of connectivity options such as USB Type-C ports, USB 3.1 ports, 2x2ac Wi-Fi, and even 4G LTE. Security features may include Windows Hello via the IR camera, biometric card readers with Control Vault 2 and FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification.

Dell’s Latitude 7390 2-in-1 has a 360-degree hinge to support the laptop, stand, slate, and tent work modes. The bezel is narrower and has Dell Active Pen support. It measures 12 x 0.47 x 8.26 inches and weighs 2.97 lbs.

The configuration and security options remain more or less the same while the display size is slightly bigger at 13.3 inch and 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The company promises an industry-leading battery life of up to 17 hours.

The Dell Latitude 7390 is now available for purchase with prices starting at $1149.
