[CES 2018] If you’re looking for a handheld stabilizer for your camera, you’ll be interested to learn that DJI has recently announced the Ronin-S. This is a handheld stabilizer designed specifically for DSLR and mirrorless cameras, with a built-in three-axis gimbal that will help keep your videos steady, even with zoom lenses attached to it.

The stabilizer will also come with built-in control buttons that will let users control the camera and gimbal, and allow users to toggle between various features. There will also be a joystick that lets photographers change the camera’s position on the fly, and also a new Sport mode that will help when photographers/videographers require fast movements.

Users will also be able to choose from different shooting modes with the DJI Ronin mobile app, such as Panorama, Hyperlapse, Track and CamAnchor. DJI also states that the Ronin-S will be compatible with various DJI Pro Accessories, such as the Focus Control Center, DJI Master Force, DJI Master Wheels, and so on.

Pricing of the Ronin-S was not announced, but DJI expects that this information will be revealed prior to availability, which is currently set for the second quarter of 2018. The announcement of the Ronin-S follows DJI’s earlier announcement of the Osmo Mobile 2, which is a similar handheld stabilizer, except that it was designed for smartphones.
