The last time we saw Harrison Ford don Indiana Jones’ trademark hat, it was back in 2008 with the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. For those who are looking forward to seeing more Indiana Jones, a report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the fifth Indiana Jones movie will begin filming in 2019.

The movie will be directed by Steven Spielberg and is planned for a release in 2020 and will also see the return of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, although we’re sure that at some point in time many had thought that Shia Lebeouf would replace Ford especially after appearing in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as his “son”.

At the moment not much is known about the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones movie franchise, although given that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was not as well-received compared to the other movies, we’re sure that many are hoping that the fifth will redeem the franchise. It should also be noted that the fifth movie will be the first time that George Lucas will not be on story duties.

In any case we expect that more details will be revealed later this year or next year, so stay tuned for more updates as they come.
