With the number of eyes glued to Facebook on a daily basis, it isn’t surprising that Facebook is trying to leverage its active users and turn themselves into a platform for videos, such as sports and entertainment. In fact according to a report from Deadline, Facebook has recently nabbed actress Jada Pinkett Smith to be a host on a new talk show series.

However it won’t be just Smith alone as she will be joined by her daughter Willow, along with her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris. If you’ve noticed that this essentially spans three generations, you would be right because that appears to be the goal of the show, where it will tackle social and timely issues in an inter-generational family talk show format.

If this sounds familiar to you, it is because Smith, her daughter, and her mother appeared in a show that had a similar format several years ago on YouTube dubbed Red Table Talk. We can’t be sure if the Facebook show will be similar to Red Table Talk, but you can check out an episode in the video above to get an idea of what we could expect.

Exactly what kind of topics will be covered remains to be seen, but this is a new direction for Facebook who has never really created shows like this before. No word on when Facebook’s new talk show will be released.
