Duke NukemWhen it comes to shoot-em-ups, Duke Nukem is a classic. Starting off as a 2D side-scroller, the franchise expanded and became a third-person 3D shooter that many gamers know and love. Now it looks like we could be getting a new Duke Nukem movie and it could star none other than John Cena.

This is according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter who claims that Paramount will be the studio behind it, while Platinum Dunes will produce it. For those unfamiliar, Platinum Dunes is a company run by director Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller, and given Bay’s penchant for explosive scenes, we suppose it makes sense that his company could be behind such a film.

That being said, this wouldn’t be the first time Cena is working with Bay. The wrestler-turned-actor is expected to star in the Bumblee Transformers spinoff movie which is also produced by Bay. There is no official confirmation about the movie yet, but apparently a director has yet to be chosen, and neither has a writer, although the search is expected to begin soon and a script will be developed with Cena in mind.

Assuming this is true, it does sound like a pretty interesting idea, plus there are some on the internet who claim that Cena already looks the part, but what do you guys think? A Duke Nukem movie starring John Cena – yay or nay?
