According to recent reports, we have heard that Apple is working on quite a few TV shows that they plan on launching. However it is unclear as to how Apple plans on offering their shows. At the moment some of Apple’s shows are offered via Apple Music, but will that be Apple’s main distribution platform of choice?

At the moment Apple has yet to mention how they plan on launching their shows, but according to Netflix, the company is predicting that Apple will most likely continue to use Apple Music as its distribution platform, or alternatively they might bundle these shows with iOS instead. Netflix’s observations was part of the company’s earnings release, where they talked briefly about some of the competition, such as Amazon and Apple.

Like we said Apple is said to be working on quite a few shows, and recent reports have revealed that they have managed to nab Kristen Wiig’s upcoming series that which is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s production company. We have also heard that the company could be in a bidding war with HBO for J.J. Abrams’ upcoming sci-fi series as well.

Both of these reports are pretty interesting as the names involved have not done TV shows in a while. In any case we expect that it might be a while before we hear anything, but hopefully Apple will have something to share at WWDC 2018 later this year.
