It seems that the Galaxy S9 might be the only flagship smartphone we get to see at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona next month if recent reports are to be believed. Both LG and Huawei will reportedly unveil their upcoming flagship smartphones at a later date. A new report today claims that even HTC won’t be showing off a flagship smartphone at MWC 2018 in February.

Samsung sent out invites to the press yesterday for February 25th, that’s when it’s going to conduct its Unpacked 2018 event to unveil the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+.

LG was initially believed to launch the LG G7 at this event but recent reports have suggested that it may take a couple of months to come out with its latest handset. Even Huawei is expected to conduct its own event in either late March or early April for its next flagship.

A new report claims that HTC is not going to make any major smartphone-related announcements next month and will conduct its own launch event after MWC 2018. It doesn’t mention when we might see HTC’s event happen and which handset the company might have in store for us.

There are reports that Sony will launch its new flagship smartphone at MWC 2018 so the Galaxy S9 might not be the only flagship we get to see at the event next month. HTC hasn’t confirmed or denied anything right now so take this report with a grain of salt.
