If the idea of huge robots fighting against each other or against massive alien creatures appeals to you, then chances are you might be anticipating the upcoming Pacific Rim 2 (Pacific Rim Uprising). The good news is that we’re only a couple of months away from its release, and it looks like a new official trailer has dropped.
For those unfamiliar, Pacific Rim Uprising will see Star Wars actor John Boyega in the lead role. He will play as the son of Idris Elba’s character from the original movie, General Stacker Pentecost. The movie will also see the return of the likes of Charlie Day and Burn Gorman, both of whom will be reprising their characters.
Rinko Kikuchi will also be returning, but unfortunately it seems that Charlie Hunnam who was the star in the first movie will not be coming back for its sequel as he was busy filming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The movie is currently scheduled to be released on the 23rd of March 2018 where it can also be viewed in IMAX.
