[CES 2018] Walk into any school or work place and chances of you finding a whiteboard in the corner of a meeting room is pretty high. Whiteboards are handy when it comes to jotting down information, brainstorming ideas, and more, and for the most part it is as low-tech as it comes since it involves a flat white surface and a marker pen.

However Samsung wants to help improve on that by announcing the Samsung Flip, an interactive, hi-tech, digital whiteboard that can be used in schools, at the work place, and so on. The Flip will feature a 55-inch UD display and will be powered by Samsung’s own Tizen 3.0 platform. It also comes with 8GB of internal storage.

Samsung is also touting features like easy sharing, annotations, searching, and also the ability for multiple users to create new content at once. There are also ports and connectivity options such as USB, PC, and mobile ports, and according to Samsung, interacting with the display will not require any kind of special tools or input devices as users can just use their hands or fingers.

According to Seog-gi Kim, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “Today’s workers require more powerful and flexible technologies, and we truly believe that our new Samsung Flip display offers endless possibilities for driving impactful collaboration. We are excited to debut the Samsung Flip at CES 2018, and we look forward to building upon this technology to help businesses work better, smarter and faster.” No word on pricing but Samsung is planning on making the Flip available shortly after CES 2018.
