Movies with compelling storylines are great, but sometimes watching mindless action movies can also be just as entertaining, such is the case with The Expendables franchise, in which each release just comes with even bigger guns and more explosions than the previous ones. It also has the appeal of featuring some of our generation’s best action movie stars.

Now if you thought that maybe The Expendables franchise was done, especially with reports claiming that Sylvester Stallone had walked away from it, think again because if you are looking forward to a fourth movie with Stallone in it, you’ll be pleased to learn that it will be happening, or at least that’s what Stallone seems to be teasing.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Stallone has announced that “Barney will be back” (Barney is the name of the character he plays in the movie), along with “the crew” and a couple of new members. Like we said one of the appeals of the franchise is seeing various action stars come together in a single movie, and in the past we have seen a rotating cast of characters such as Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Wesley Snipes, and more.

That being said it is unclear when The Expendables 4 is expected to begin production and filming (assuming it hasn’t already), but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info.
